WHS Girl's Soccer Earn Historic Win


Attention soccer fans! The Mighty Lady Mules soccer became the first Wilson soccer team in history to win a championship on Saturday!!! The team defeated Aspire Ollin in the dying minutes of regulation to win 3-2!!! Senior Lorena Villareal scored a goal with an amazing header and senior Chelsea Contreras gave the assist. And sophomore Maleah Haro scored 2 goals, including the game winning goal, with assists from seniors Angie Salazar and Destiny Alvarez-Morales. The entire squad played with heart and fought with true Wilson spirit. This is the first time any Wilson soccer team, boys or girls, has ever won a championship! The team advances to the Southern California Regional Playoffs as the #8 seed and will play #1 San Gabriel Mission tomorrow (Tuesday) at 4pm at Cathedral High School. Come support the Lady Mules as they continue to make history!!
