During the duration of two days, journalism students surveyed seventy-two Wilson High School students of all grades. All the responses were catalogued anonymously. The survey consisted six random questions, with some being multiple choice and others being free response. A few examples of the questions were: “What is the most important thing in your life?” and “Do you prefer reading fiction or nonfiction?” Based on the information given to us, we were able to see what students at our school prefer. Below are pie charts based on the questions we asked and the students’ responses. In addition, we asked students what questions they would like to ask their peers. We will be using the questions they asked in future surveys.

What is the most important thing in your life?

53.3% of people that responded said that Family was the most important thing in their lives. This is followed by Friends at 11.1%. Followed by Other (7.8%), Goals and I don’t know (5.6% each), Life, Sports and School (3.3% each) and Money (2.2%)
