  1. Seniors & Juniors! Powderpuff season is around the corner. Starting Monday March 20 till March 30, 2023 we will have sign ups during lunch in front of the MPR for players, coaches and cheerleaders. Practices start the week of April 10, 2023. The big game is May 12, 2023.

  2. Attention EL learners You are invited to an EL student mtg on Wednesday 3/15 during lunch in the College Corner . Bring your lunch we will have a treat for you.   4. Attention Seniors who turned in a trip slip for the ELAC senior WELCOME day scheduled for 3/16 , you must report to the flag pole by 8:20am. The bus to ELAC will leave Wilson at 8:30 am- You will return to Wilson by 2:30 pm.

  5. Track and Field in hosting a fundraiser at the Alhambra AppleBees on April 8th from 8am to 11am. Tickets are only $14 dollars. If you’d like to purchase a ticket come after school to the track or find one of our athletes!

  2. Attention students : Are you interested in taking DUAL ENROLLMENT courses through ELAC? You are in luck .   7. Congratulations to our Boys soccer team in winning 2-0 versus Mendez and advancing to the quarterfinals as they host Venice HS on Friday at 3pm. This is a rematch from last year semifinals game. Good luck boys. Mas Que un club.

  1. Dress up as a 100 year old in celebration of the 100th day of School and meet us on Monday, February 6, 2023 during lunch in front of MPR Quad. We will be hosting Music, 100 seconds games and prizes for the best 100 year old look. Attendance Matters@ Wilson High School.

  2. Attention Students Interested in joining the Student to Student Study Program, there will be an information table in front of the basketball courts during lunch on Thursday. If students wish to earn money tutoring their sibling, please stop by the information table to receive information about this program. If you signed up as an interested student last Thursday, please stop at the table to fill out the interest survey to secure your slot in the program.

  6. There is a Boys Tennis meeting and practice today after school - if you are interested in playing tennis for the spring season come by the tennis courts today after school. All are welcome to join.

  7. Attention students: Are you interested in taking more rigorous classes at Wilson? We have IB classes, AP classes, AVID, and Dual Enrollment courses. Come learn about your Advanced Learning Options on Wednesday, February 8 during lunchtime in the MPR Quad.   2. Attention all Seniors! There are still over a hundred seniors who have not completed their FAFSA or CADA. Remember that this is a requirement for senior activities such as Prom and graduation. Stop by the College Corner during lunch or after school to submit your FAFSA by the March deadline.

  3. Attention 10th grade students! Your Personal Projects are due March 13. That is coming up quickly. If you need help, please come to tutoring with Ms. Englander every Wednesday and Friday in the library after school. If you are an 11th or 12th grader trying to finish, please join tutoring too!

  4. Mightly Mules, please take a few minutes during Breakfast in the Classroom to vote for the January Mule of Month. This month we are nominating students and staff who demonstrate what it means to be Principled. Check Schoology updates for a link to the ballot or ask your to share the link.

  3. We are having the Lunar New Year Wishing Trees this month in recognition of Lunar New Year on January 22nd, 2023. We will have tables with red ribbons and markers during lunch in the MPR quad toady (Thursday 19th) and tomorrow (Friday 20th) for anyone who wants to come out to participate by making a wish for the new year.   2. Mighty Mules! Acceleration Days are here, next Monday and Tuesday, December 19th and 20th! All students are invited to attend if they wish to continue working to improve their grades for this semester. Students with Ds and Fs are expected to attend. Here are the details. You must attend the entire day: 8:30 to 3:30. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided. You can get help from teachers on assignments. Seniors can get support with college applications and FAFSA. You can also get support with your personal project. Please bring your charged Chromebook and your charger. Acceleration Days are an opportunity for you to work under the supervision of a teacher and get support to improve your grades. Don't miss out.

  2. Attention Eternal Senior Class of 2023, Senior Ice Skating is coming your way. This event will take place TODAY Friday, December 9th from 7 to 8:30PM at the LA Kings Holiday Ice at L.A. LIVE. Tickets can be purchased at the venue for $25 but for every 25 seniors who show up, there will be a $5 discount per person. Please make sure to arrive on time so the discount is applied at the door. But still, come prepared to pay $25 just in case. Come skate and make some memories with your friends! Thank you

  1. Seniors : YOU must submit your FAFSA or Cal DREAM act in order to find out how much financial aid you will receive . You will not receive your financial award letter until you complete this. Also Community College applicants must complete the form in order to be considered for the LA COLLEGE PROMISE. Come to the College Corner for support!!

  4. Attention students! We will have credit recovery during the last week of winter break from Tuesday, January 3rd to Saturday, January 7th. Please see your counselor if you need a credit recovery form or if you need to turn in a signed credit recovery form. Again, credit recovery will take place January 3rd to January 7th.

  5. Students, if you need a work permit before the winter break, you must submit a completed work permit application by Wednesday, December 14 to Ms. Marquez-Garcia in the College Corner. Work permits during the winter break will be issued by the Work Experience Office. For information about their hours and location, visit the College Corner for a flyer or check Schoology.

  6. Attention Mighty Mules: Come enjoy a sit-down dinner and dance the night away at our Winter Formal, SnoBall! The dance will be on Friday, January 27 from 6-11PM in the MPR. The ticket includes the dance, a dinner, a photobooth, and a DJ.️ SnoBall tickets are on sale right now for $45 at the student store! In January, tickets will increase to $50.

  3. Are you interested in biochemical research? The Samuels Family Latino & African American High School Internship Program is now open for juniors. This is a year long program at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles that combines research and college preparation. The deadline to apply is February. 3.   4. Are you interested in joining a career mentorship program? Consider applying for Mentor for Change. Mentor for Change is a year long program that connects youth with mentors in their field of interest. The program also offers monthly workshops and a $2000 scholarship upon completion.   5. Our annual AVID Toy Drive is here! The AVID program is collecting toys for underprivileged children and teens between the ages of 0-18 this holiday season. Please donate any new unwrapped toy in any of the boxes around campus. Suggestions: toy cars, dolls, stuffed animals, gift cards, art supplies, and action figures. We will also gladly accept holiday wrapping paper & supplies. Contact Ms. Guzman or Ms. Dorado if you have any questions. All donations will be delivered on Friday, December 16. We would like to give a special thanks to Mrs. G and our Wilson Alumni Association, as well as the following staff -- Ms. Chun, Ms. Case, Ms. Ferreiro, Ms. S.   2. Are you interested in the field of technology? The LA Tech Internship program is now open! LA Tech is a virtual spring internship powered by Microsoft Word. The deadline to apply is December 6. Stop by the College Corner for more information.

  3. The Intern Project is accepting applications for their spring Career Exploration Program. This is a paid 8 week career experience program. Students enhance communication, networking and professionalism through different career building workshops. Activities include job shadow, informational interviews, and panel presentation. Deadline to apply is December 16.

  4. The Expanding Horizons Institute program is now open! The program is for 10th and 11th grade students and provides first-generation, college-bound high school students with an intensive experience of skill development and personal growth that prepares them for college, career, and civic life through interactive seminars and paid summer internship.The program runs from July 6 to August 4 and the deadline to apply is January 31.   5. Students attending the LA Trade Tech field trip tomorrow Tuesday, Nov. 29. Meet at the front of the school by the flag pole at 10:10 AM. Students attending this trip should have received a reminder to their class. For questions visit the College Corner.

  3. GOOD NEWS!! The College Door Decoration Contest has been extended to November 28. The winning FAS will get a class PIZZA PARTY! Here is the Rubric! Judging will be on November 29.

  4. Do you want to explore your dream career? Join us on Monday, November 14 during lunch for Career Day. We will have representatives from organizations such as the Children's Hospital, NASA JPL, LA County District Attorney's Office, the National Park Service, and more. Again the career fair will be during lunch on Monday, November 14 in the MPR Quad.

  1. Join us at our first MESA meeting this Thursday, November 3rd during lunch in room 128. You will have a chance to learn about MESA and participate in a STEAM activity.

  2. Seniors, if you are applying to LA Trade Tech, ELAC, Rio Hondo Community College, or any of the Los Angeles District community college, applications are now open for summer/fall 2023. Pick up a fast pass from the College Corner to get started on your application.

  3. If you signed up for an ELAC class, you must attend a mandatory workshop on Wednesday, November 16 or Thursday, November 17 from 3:30PM-5:00PM in room 321. During the workshop you will complete the ELAC enrollment process. Students who are only missing a K-12 form will need to drop it off with a parent and counselor signature. If you would like to sign up for an ELAC class, stop by one of the workshops to enroll!

  4. Do you want to earn college credit? The deadline to sign up for an ELAC class is on November 15. Stop by the College Corner in room 312 to sign up or for more information! Don't miss out on earning college credit.

  5. Gobble, Gobble, Mighty Mules! Our annual AVID Harvest Drive is here! The AVID family is collecting food items for families in need during this holiday season and would like to give them the Thanksgiving they deserve. Suggestions for donations are: canned foods, stuffing mix, boxed foods such as mashed potatoes, gravy, as well as cake mix & frosting. These donations will help families from our community. Please support by sending donations to room 323 or placing in a Harvest Drive box on campus. All donations will be delivered Friday, November 18th. Contact Ms. Andrade or Mrs. Dorado with any questions or information. Thank you so much for your support and for giving back to the community!!

  6. Soccer World Cup is around the corner and Wilson wants to participate. WHS boys and girls Mundialito Challenge. Make a team of 5 Players, name your team (country only), sign up on schoology or see Mr. Ramos or Mr. Gonzalez for more information. Games will be PLAYED during lunch the week of November 14th-18th, and finals will be played the week of December 5th-16th at the BIG GYM.

The first 10 students who sign up will get to hear all about owning your own beauty company and the becoming a make up artist. Sign up in the College Corner room 312 and pick up a pre-excuse.

  10. Attention all Mighty Mules, our Winter Talent Show will be taking place on December 14th. If you would like to audition, please come by next Thursday, December 10th or on December 15th to the Small Theatre Room near the Courtroom in the 200 building after school at 3:35 pm.

All students can pick up breakfast starting at 8:00am, they will then report to FAS by 8:30am. 9th 10th, 11th graders will take the PSAT, and 12th grade students will participate in College/Career workshops.
